What our community is saying

“Veda Studies community events are always a highlight of my week. I love seeing familiar faces – and new ones – each time as Shantala-ji gracefully leads us in learning/ reviewing these ancient mantras. Community events are  a safe, accessible, supportive, joyful, and loving space to learn and practice. I always feel welcome.”

“I stumbled upon Veda studies “Akshay Triti “ community event for the first time  in April. I had been contemplating on learning the Vishnu Sahasranama for the past 2 years but got nowhere to even starting it. This community event totally bowled me over . I was amazed at how much structure & detailing went into a community class which also attracted a good audience. Ms Shantala very graciously made us chant a sloka & for me there was no looking back. This class prompted me to look for more & that’s when I gathered the courage to sign up for a couple of classes. It’s as though a divine grace guided me to this platform. There isn’t enough room to put in all the wonderful things about the community classes held oh! so regularly but suffice it to say that the community classes make one feel very loved and cared for & they regularly guide me in my spiritual journey.”

Geraldine Jain

“I have always been keen to learn more about different Vedic prayers, chanting them in the right ways and had questions which were not answered as I was growing up in india. When I first attended the community event with Shantala, I was amazed at how this powerful knowledge is shared with so much love, generosity and care. As a result of the community classes am now able to practice with a community, clarify my questions and continue to learn more. Community events hosted by Shantala have been a blessing and I will be ever grateful for these events.”

“Shantala’s community events always provide fascinating details about unique upcoming Indian festivals, and celebrations. She regularly shares her vast knowledge about the Vedas and their deities, and I am so very grateful to learn from Shantala how to chant the Surya Gayatri mantra as well as many others I learned during those events. Her “Practice Practicalities – Organizing your Practice event” taught me the importance of maintaining discipline and how to consistently keep up with my own daily meditation and chanting.  Thank you Shantala for being my teacher.

“It’s always exciting and reassuring to see everyone come together from all over the world and many walks of life for a single spiritual purpose in these wonderful community events!  There are many regulars and new folks too and everyone is welcomed in the warmest way.  No expectations, no pressure.  You will always learn something, and perhaps fall in love with the powerful, ancient mantras that are taught and practiced in these classes.  They are always introduced & explained in a most thorough and engaging way with such care and love.  In fact, the amount of knowledge that is dispensed regularly in these free community classes continues to astound me!  You find that you just want to keep coming back for more!  And so I do, and my own practice has deepened and expanded because of it and because of all the encouragement offered.   And my heart expands as well, with affection for all these lovely souls whom I only see online and yet feel so supported by and so connected to!  What a blessing!”

“I absolutely love coming together with this community to practice! There is such a heartfelt connection even though we are all in different parts of the world. The practices themselves are so well put together and easy to follow. My heart is always so full afterwards. Thank you Shantala!”
Sri Devi Melissa Urey

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to connect with the prayful community that Veda Studies has created through its online gatherings, festival and japa practices!  These offerings have brought the shared experience of the power of prayer back to the forefront of my life and have helped me use prayer as a tool to work through my karmas and as a tool for transformation and growth!”
